This project has four sections:
Textbook (2 points): Write a full citation for an article from the textbook.
Library Catalog (3 points): Find and write the citation for a psychology book using the online Library catalog.
Academic OneFile (9 points): Locate, read, summarize, and cite an article from this database.
PsychINFO (6 points): Locate, read, summarize, and cite an article from this database.
 
Section 1 Textbook (2 points)
Refer to page 88 of our textbook, where Kalat cites “Gage, 2000”.  Find the article referenced by this citation in the References Section of the textbook, and write out below the full reference exactly as it’s given in the References Section.  (Always note capitalization, parentheses, commas and periods exactly):
Note that the number in the parenthesis at the end of the reference is to indicate the chapter in the textbook where the citation is found.  This is a practice adopted by the author of our textbook, and is not a part of the general APA Format.
 
Section 2 Library Catalog (3 points)
Go to the C.O.D. Library Catalog and, using “procrastination” as your subject, select one book and provide the following information:
 
Section 3 (9 points)
Use the Academic OneFile, a general database, to select one article related to your topic (procrastination).  The article should be available in one of the periodicals subscribed to by the Library or available full-text from the database.  It also should be an academic journal, not a magazine. Read the entire article and provide the following information:

Write a brief summary of the article. Model your summary after the abstract of your article and include a statement of hypothesis, description of the basic design, including subject descriptions and methods used, and results obtained (in other words the Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion sections.) (Note:  When writing a summary, do not copy the author’s words without quotation marks.  And keep such quotes to a minimum.  Use your own words to summarize the article.) The summary should be approximately 80-100 words.
 
Section 4 PsycINFO ( 6 points)
This database is specifically for Psychology.  It uses a very special set of search terms (subject headings) found in the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms, which is available online within the database. Click on Thesaurus.

Using the correct Thesaurus term, or one of the related Thesaurus terms, identify one article related to your topic and provide the following:
